I mentioned Scott and I went to dinner at Daphne’s last week. It was good. It always is, but one of the things I haven’t really mentioned about our meals out at Daphne’s are the detours we tend to take on the way home. One time we decided to follow a local waterway all the way back into this neighborhood where we found it wrapped and weaved its way around the houses that each had their own personal docks. I thought we knew all the waterways around here, turns out we don’t! Not at all. Another time we picked up our Christmas tree from a local farmer just before he closed for the season. This time we watched the sunset while the trains worked and the egrets ate dinner. We usually cook at home or eat around our neighborhood and most of the time we like it that way, but I’m also really happy for the nights we eat out at Daphne’s. For the healthy food they serve, the fun atmosphere they provide and the little adventures we have on the way home.
Do you ever take the long way home?
